I recently had the pleasure to photograph Maria and Neil's engagement photographs on St. John when they where vacationing from New York City. Their wedding is this fall in Boston, their home city.

Engagement photographs are a great idea for a number of reasons, my favorite is the relaxed atmosphere and getting to know the couple. Engagement photographs have a completely different feel to them then wedding photographs even in a relaxed environment like a beach ceremony. The engagement session is a wonderful time for the couple to become comfortable in front of the camera and get to know their photographer. It allows couples to be themselves and feel free to have fun without the stresses that can surround a wedding.

A destination engagement photo session is a unique option to have when planning your wedding in the states. Engagement photographs are great for announcement in the local paper, save the date cards, gifts, and to frame and show at your reception.
