I can't help but wonder with 2010 coming to an end, what will be popular for destination weddings in 2011 on St. John?

     St. John has already been established as one of the Top 10 most popular places for a destination wedding. The nature of a destination wedding lends to a couple that is adventurous and is seeking an exotic, and romantic location for their special day. St. John has so much to offer for a gorgeous backdrop to any destination wedding: some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, old stone ruins, fabulous resorts, and a tropical National Park. Since most of St. John, three quarter, is National Park it is so easy to find a beautiful location for a wedding.

     I can't help but think people aren't making the most of their destination wedding with having it only on the beach, why not make it more exotic? I happen to be in love with the idea of making the most of your wedding photographs and island locations like Cinnamon Bay. Cinnamon Bay has so much to offer: one of the largest and most beautiful beaches on St. John, crystal clear turquoise water and the old stone sugar ruins are just a short walk from the beach. I really love how the two different backdrops really complement each other and hope to make more photographs at this picture perfect location.      I'm excited to share this picture perfect destination wedding at the Ritz Carlton in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Ritz Carlton truly has one of the most stunning wedding locations to offer on St. Thomas with their Ocean's Edge Gazebo. The gazebo is perched on a cliff side that overlooks Great Bay, providing a spectacular view and the perfect backdrop for any island wedding.

     I arrived early to photograph Christopher and his groomsmen preparing for the wedding, while Kelley was in an adjoining room of their hotel suite, with her bridesmaids getting ready. After the pre-wedding photographs the ceremony began, performed by Captain Phil at the Cliffside Gazebo. After Christopher and Kelly where announced as husband and wife we wandered down to the beach, a short walk away, where we made some of my favorite wedding photographs.

Congratulations to Nanette and Lee!!
Nanette and Lee planned their dream destination wedding on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands for it's pristine beauty. They choose to get married on Hawksnest Bay Beach in the morning for it's crystal clear turquoise water and the vivid blue colors of the sky. We had the entire beach to ourselves while the wedding vows where exchanged and Nanette and Lee where pronounced as husband and wife. After the ceremony we went to Caneel Bay Resort, where they where staying, to take additional wedding photographs in the Old Stone Ruins. Caneel Bay Resort is located within the Virgin Islands National Park on a peninsula of 170 lush Caribbean acres with seven of the most beautiful beaches on St. John. The Old Stone Ruins offer an amazing backdrop for wedding photographs as well as a romantic and beautiful contrast to any beach wedding ceremony.
