I am so unbelievably excited to share these wedding photographs that I made at Gallows Point Resort and Trunk Bay Beach on St. John.
I love it when a wedding couple says, “that they want to make fun photographs!” Larry and Debbie wanted to have photographs that represented their personalities, described their relationship, and showed them for who they are. We made a few pre photographs at Gallows in a more traditional style of wedding photography of them posing on the beautiful property. The wedding ceremony was held at Trunk Beach and once they where pronounced as husband and wife they only wanted to have fun making photographs. I had such a blast working with them and creating these playful beach pictures.

A popular idea at destination weddings on St John is to come up with creative names for your table seating arrangements at the reception. A fun idea that brides and grooms are doing is having a table named with their favorite beach on St John, like “Trunk Beach Table” instead of a table card that would read “Table 1.” I really like this unique idea of writing the table name on a seashell so that it adds to the centerpiece of the table at the reception.

This week’s picture perfect destination beach wedding takes place on St. John in the US Virgin Islands.
Kate and Nate exchanged their wedding vows in front of 30 wedding guest on one of the most beautiful beach in the world - Trunk Bay Beach. This was such a fun wedding to be apart of. I love that you can see Kate and Nate’s fun personality shining through in the photographs. They had such a comfortable way about them that the photographs easily flowed from the traditional wedding style to enjoying themselves and creating pictures with a candid look.
After the wedding ceremony and photographs the reception was held at the Waterfront Bistro.
