I recently had the pleasure of photographing Laura and Brandon’s destination wedding on St John in the US Virgin Islands. They chose to marry on a private beach at the Beach Villa in Great Cruz Bay and invited their closest friends and family for an intimate ceremony. Brandon’s grandfather performed the ceremony and pronounced them as husband and wife. After the wedding we relocated to Trunk Bay Beach, stopping at the overlook for a few fun photos, and watched the sunset. The wedding reception was held at Zozo’s.

Wow, was I happy to have been asked to photograph this wedding, I had so much fun. Most of the weddings that I photograph in the Virgin Islands I only cover the ceremony with a few group photos on the beach this was not the case with Meredith and Nil’s wedding. They really love photos and wanted all their wedding day festivities to be documented and for the photographs to be as candid as possible.
I started photographing all of the ladies getting ready at Coco de Mer Villa in Peter Bay this is also where the ceremony was held. Katie Tarta organized the wedding, Captain Hank performed the ceremony, Susan of Passion Flowers did all the flower arrangements, and Ryan Montbleau brought everyone to tears with his music during the ceremony. After the ceremony the wedding party went to Trunk Bay Beach for a few fun photographs and to catch the sunset. On the way to the reception at Rhumb Lines in Cruz Bay we all stopped into the Beach Bar for a quick ‘Bushwhacker.’ It was such a lovely wedding.
